Making a claim with your mobile phone insurance

We want to make the claiming process as easy as the purchase so here are some things you need to know:

  • You will need proof of purchase
  • You will need to provide evidence that the mobile phone is owned and used by you. This can be a copy of the till receipt, delivery note, gift receipt or, confirmation from your Network Provider that the mobile phone is in use by you.

For policies purchased after 10/10/2017 notify the claim administrators on 0330 102 8698 or by emailing gadgetclaims@directgroup.co.uk For policies purchased before 10/10/2017 please refer to your policy wording for claim details.

Can I upgrade my policy if I get a new phone?

If you get a new mobile phone, please call in on: 0203 824 0745. A member of our team will then be able amend your mobile insurance policy and issue you with new documentation.

Is there a charge to pay monthly?

If you have chosen to pay monthly for your mobile phone insurance, you are purchasing a monthly recurring insurance policy. Insurancefair do not apply any extra fees or charges for monthly payments.

What is a monthly recurring policy?

Simply put, you are insuring your mobile phone one month at a time.
It is slightly more expensive to pay for insurance using this method however, there is no commitment and mobile phone insurance policies can be cancelled at any time.

What is unauthorised call data?

This benefit protects you against the unauthorised use of your phone following a theft. Unauthorised data use includes making calls, sending messages and roaming/internet connection charges.

What is e-wallet cover?

The advancement of technology and banking means that individuals are now able to use their mobile phones to pay for goods and services.
e-wallet cover protects you against the unauthorised use of your mobile phone to make payments as a result of theft.
