FAQ's

We understand that everyone has questions, we would too. Here are our most frequently asked questions about insuring you on the course and all of your golf equipment!

Why do I need golf insurance?

Golf insurance provides protection not just for your equipment, but also for you. You will be covered for theft loss and damage of your golf clubs and accessories. The policy also includes cover for you in the event that you are injured, or injure someone else on the course. Insurancefair’s golf insurance starts from just £22.08* for the year and includes these benefits and more as standard.

Will my golf insurance cover me for a golf holiday abroad?

All Insurancefair golf insurance policies include up to 90 days cover in Europe as standard. If you would like to protect your equipment a little further afield, you can do so by selecting the worldwide option. Platinum cover includes worldwide cover as standard.

Whilst all of our policies provide cover abroad, please ensure that you read our policy wording carefully for geographical and policy restrictions.

What is the hole in one benefit?

If you hit a hole in one whilst playing in a golf tournament, your golf insurance will pay up to £500 to cover the cost of the obligatory round of drinks dependent on the level selected.

Are my golf clubs already covered on my home insurance policy?

While many believe that their home insurance will cover them for their golf equipment, most home insurance policies don’t automatically cover you for ‘away from home cover’, which is where your Golf Clubs would come under. Also, Golf Insurance covers you for the added extras such as Public Liability, which your home insurance won’t be able to.

What is the definition of 'golf equipment' on the golf insurance policy?

Golf Equipment is classified in your golf insurance policy as cover for a range of golfing equipment including, golf bag’s, umbrella’s, golf clubs, trolleys, specialist golf clothing and golfing gadgets such as GPS range finders.
